Natale Addamiano was born in Bitetto on 12th May 1943.
In 1968 he moved to Milan and registered to the Arts Academy of Brera where he attended the lessons of the great teacher Domenico Cantatore and gained his diploma in 1972.
Since 1976 he teaching Painting at Brera Academy. He then started an extensive lithographic work in collaboration with La Spirale, a printing company in Milan.In 1978 Roberto Sanesi invited him to show at Palazzo Ducale in Urbinowhile also offering to prepare the catalogue for another exhibition held at Galleria Cocorocchia in Milan. Two paintings were purchased by Mr. Boschi-Di Stefano, an engineer who added them to his private collection.In 1983 he held an engraving exhibition at Palazzo Sormani in Milan and in 1988 he displayed some of his paper works at Galleria Il Cenacolo in Piacenza.In the same years he participated to a number of reviews and awards, including the VI Engraving Triennial at Palazzo della Permanente in Milan (1991) and the XXXII Biennale of Milan (1994), with his first anthological exhibitionbeing held at Villa Cattaneo in San Quirino in 1993.
More solo and collective exhibition in Italy and abroad followed and, in 2002, in its native town, Studio4 Art Gallery exhibited a cycle of painting dedicated to Bitetto’s old town. The general Archive was founded of Dep Art Gallery in Milan.In October 2003 he toured Japan inaugurating five solo shows – Tokyo, Kyoto, Kobe, Osaka, Niigata – and in 2004, invited to Cracow by the Italian Culture Institute, he exhibited thirty works selected by Milan’s art critic Flaminio Gualdoni.
In 2005 the town of San Vito al Tagliamento organized an exhibition of his works at Ex Ospedale dei Battuti, while Centro Studi Sartori per la Grafica of Mantova presented a catalogue of his engraving works dated between 1972 and 2002. In the summer of the same year, a wide anthological exhibition was held at Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Paestum documenting the artist’s entire creative path from his beginning on the 70s with Diari Notturni with his dull and unquiet chromatic effects to his most recent works with a lyric vision of nature.In 2008 the town of Molfetta held a significant exhibition dedicated to the artist, focusing on the illustration of local Gravine at Spazio “Torrione Passeri”, and in the same year the exhibition area of Casa de Pane in Milan hosted a large exhibition dedicated to his Notturni. Flaminio Gualdoni will afterward introduce his Gravine and Cieli at Dep Art Gallery in Milan. The cycle of paintings defined “Starry Skys” begins, which will be showed at Verona, Bologna and New York Fairs.
Addamiano has also worked on a significant graphic production (including etching, lithographies and serigraphies) throughout the productive path of his artistic career, which shows the great maturity and singularity of an artistic in continuous evolution.

Trasferitosi a Milano nel 1968, si iscrive con l’amico Michele Zaza all’Accademia di Brera, dove frequenta i corsi di pittura tenuti dal maestro Domenico Cantatore e consegue il diploma nel 1972. Nello stesso periodo conosce Giuseppe Banchieri, Giovanni Cappelli, Attilio Forgioli ed Enrico Della Torre con i quali parteciperà a diverse esposizioni collettive.
